Join us for a weekend of diesel-powered delight at the Bodmin Railway Diesel Gala, taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or just looking for a fun family day out, this event is packed with heritage, horsepower, and hospitality.
Weekend Highlights at the Railway
Join us for an action-packed weekend featuring intensive operations with locomotives 47306 and 50042 on both days. Our beloved bubble car and 08444 will also be making appearances throughout the weekend, with Denise joining the lineup on Sunday.
A special treat awaits in the afternoons: a unique second passenger train formed by the bubble car and autocoach—an arrangement affectionately known by diesel enthusiasts as a “DMU drag.”
In addition to passenger services, our heritage goods and clay set will be running, along with the iconic CDA wagons, offering a nostalgic glimpse into freight operations of the past.
